make an extender for maytronics dolphin anti tangle swivel connector pin
if your maytroncs swivel connector is left in the pool too long it can leak water . The water shorts the pins and leads to very high currents.The current blows teh pin connection and often melts the white plastic. Sometimes the pin can be pulled out . If the pin is too short it wiil not work. This shows how to make the pin extension.
The extension will allow the shorter pin to stay in contact with the cord side of the connector.

Easily replace motorcycle fork seal quickly without taking forks completely apart

When changing a leaky fork seal, most videos show the entire fork being dismantled . They take out the lower hex screw and use the stanchion to hammer the seal out. The lower hex screw is very difficult to remove and there is then an increased chance of fork oil leakage at this point. This video shows removal of the fork seal and replacement using the old fork seal as a driver.

      The spray paint was the same colour but the texture was not the same. The BMW original was more rubbery in texture . It still looked a lot better than peeling BMW paint. This was happening to all parts inside the car ( even the steering wheel).

    I'm curious of how long the copper tape will last being in chlorine water. Doesn't this piece get moisture on it? I would like to try this but I'm curious of how well it held up. I don't have big chunks missing but definitely have grooves in my conductor rings. I did put some dielectrical grease on there and it seemed to make it better so we'll see how that works first.

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent 5 днів тому

      The moisture should not easily get into the connector unless the robot is left in the pool for extended periods of time. Sealing the connector O rings with more silicone grease and sometimes the addition of a few slica gel balls will also help . So far no problems with corrosion. Of course copper and solder are not as good as gold . As long as your conductor rings are still conducting you should be fine. This fix really is for completely blown out areas and saved an expensive replacement.

      My old pump which plays up seems to have nothing wrong with it .. It had 78ohms on each of the 3 coils inside and spins fine in test mode .. I went to buy one from a large appliance outlet here in Syd .. 4 days to order .OR He showed me one that LOOKED identical .. so I bought is and was going to fit it ... but as a precaution, I opened it up and noticed slightly less windings on the 3 Coils.. When I tested them they were only 45 ohms each .. I'm going to order the proper on and wait 4 days .. But I reassembled my old pump back in to give it another chance in test mode .. Every test cycle worked fine (Drain, Rinse, Spin etc) But it stops pumping and plays up "I deduce" only when it is submerged in the wash cycle at 40C° .. Ive since done 4 "Cold" Loads with my Old Pump reinstalled Successfully .. Something seems to be heat related on this 3yo Bosch Washer .. I'll get a new pump to see if it is the Pump .. Only other thing is "Could the Circuit board up top be affected by Heat ?"(rising) and sending the pump a skew frequency?? ... TBC ...

    Dreaded E-25 error for weeks….Almost replaced the stupid machine ($1,500 installed), but I really like my Boshe….I decided to order the $30 part from Amazon (free shipping vs. Boshe website)and do it myself. I swore quite a few times and almost gave up because I didn’t pull the unit out and this guy is correct, it was so tight to replace the pump. Anyway, I used more might than delivering a baby, and it worked! For a woman and single parent, trying to save $1,500, I feel like I can fix anything, as long as I have great UA-cam videos like this one. 👏👏Thank you from San Fran, CA, USA… By the way, I did have a repairman out, who typically charges $180, but he said he couldn’t fix it and left/no charge….I got no reply when I told him I fixed it myself! 😅. You can do it ladies, with a power drill and watching this great video. Woot-Woot! ❤

    • @christineboland9741

      Update: dishwasher worked fine 2-3 times then E-24 popped up again. 😡 I remembered from your video that if the little white filter cover was not placed correctly, the code would return. Again, I stuck my head down there and sure enough, the little cover was not pressed in enough. I tucked him into bed but didn’t hear any click but noticed as I was returning the main filter back into place, the circle of the main filter caught and loosened the stem of the white impeller cover! So my head went back in, flashlight, and more force was placed to put both cover and filter carefully back into place, slowly. I believe in plucking out that cover stem so many times to check it, I probably bent the stem a little, causing this issue. Ran the machine on short cycle; no codes! Time will tell. Tell your wife your video has valuable world-wide status and saved people like me lots of cash I don’t have. Can wait to run the machine again…

    What controls direction - the board in the motor or the board in the Power Supply? Replaced corroded board in motor housing now it starts impeller and drive motor right up and only goes in one direction - no self test happening????

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent 28 днів тому

      The direction is controlled by the board in the motor . The power supply mainly just gives power and timer functions and can send signals to the motor to stay on floor etc. I think your problem is still in your motor box. Did you check the actual drive motors for current draw? I have found the actual current draw can affect start / stop of the robot . If only one of your drive motors is running, it will affect direction.

      From memory , the shroud just clips on . The clips also tend to break off easily so be careful. You can see the clips at about 1 minute 50 secs on the video .

    Thank you, great detailed video, I replaced a Bosch drain pump yesterday for the first time (done it many times for whirlpool, lg, samsung and ge) thought it was stupid design to remove the door panel to work on a drain pump, but job security I guess, right? Also found weird the way the pump impeller feels loose, threw me off 😅

    You didn't show what happened when you took the door panel off....does it come all the way off or just hang there on the tape and loosened screws?

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent 2 місяці тому

      Sorry man , The top part is taped on and screws taken out and the front panel drops off . This is to allow you to get under the front . The tape is so that the whole control section does not fall off as it has a heap of wires inside the control section . The front panel needs to be removed to get under the front of the dishwasher as the panel covers the drain pump . In the next scene you can see the front panel is missing .

    • @mikegiesbrecht877

      Hey thanks. All the wiring was attached to the door panel so I couldn’t take it all the way off. I ended up pulling it up 6 inches and taping it in place while I replaced the pump and it worked well. Thanks again for the video.

    Hi, I have had the same problem for a while now. After changing the brakes in the front it wouldn't let me reset the brake wear indication. I couldn't figure out why but after a while I tried to install completely new sensors, front and back (just a day ago) and it still won't let me reset it. When I check to see how many kilometers are left it says (minus!) -9000km for the fronts and (again minus) -12000km for the rears. It seems to count it correctly as the number increases accordingly to the km driven, but I just cannot reset it, no matter how often I try. Handbrake on, off, door open, closed, I've tried everything. The clock symbol turns as I press and hold, but it just doesn't do anything and still shows the same numbers... I'd really appreciate it if someone could possibly help me or knows what could be the underlying problem

    Awesome!!! I recently inherited my dad's snap-on toolbox #KRA300B. It definitely needs work to be fully functional. I'm having an issue with some drawers coming completely off the drawer slides. Could you possibly do a video on exactly how the drawer n slide work together, so maybe I can resolve the issue??

    • @Dentinvent
      @Dentinvent 2 місяці тому

      If you look carefully how I take the drawers out ( use a bent feeler gauge ) you can see that there is a tab that stops the drawers coming right out . Take your drawer off then you can see the tab . Bend the tab out a bit and when you lock the drawer back in , it will not slip out .
